Adam Jarvisjarvisa@algonquincollege.com
Adam began teaching at Algonquin as a PA in the fall of 2008, then started teaching in the winter semester of
2009. After the winter semester of 2016 he left the college to explore other opportunities but has just recently
returned.
Adam has a bachelor's degree from Carleton University in Film Studies, and took Interactive Media Design from
2005-2007. He is currently completing his Masters of Education at UOIT and will finish his last course December
2018. Adam can honestly say that until he was offered the position of teacher, he did not see himself teaching.
The process of project management is hugely important for new graduates, and one thing that employers are looking
for. The two courses - applied projects and project management skills - are designed to work in tandem to allow
students to experience the process with a live client while learning about and applying the theory. Some possible
careers for students related to Project Management are Front-end web designer/developer, graphic designer, UX/UI
designer/developer, videographer and video editors.
